Dr. (Retd. Maj.) Anu Thankappan is a highly qualified and dedicated neurosurgeon with a strong academic foundation and distinguished service background.

He completed his MBBS from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune (2004 batch), followed by his internship at Base Hospital, Guwahati in 2010. After graduation, Dr. Anu Thankappan served in the Indian Army as a Short Service Commissioned Officer for 7 years, gaining valuable clinical and leadership experience in diverse medical settings.

Pursuing his passion for surgery, he completed his MS in General Surgery from INHS Asvini, Colaba, Mumbai (2016–2019 batch), one of the country’s leading defense medical institutions. To further specialize, he completed his MCh in Neurosurgery from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, enhancing his expertise in complex brain and spine surgeries.
